ABOUT FR. PISHOY
Father Pishoy is a Coptic Orthodox priest at the Church of the Virgin Mary and St. Athanasius in Mississauga. He co-founded CFCS in 2010 and counsels clients as an Individual, Couple, and Family Therapist. Father Pishoy is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO); a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) with the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT); and a Certified Facilitator of the Prepare-Enrich relationship assessment tool for pre-marital and marital counseling.
Father Pishoy is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Christian counselling while remaining active in numerous ministerial, speaking, and teaching roles. He is a former core committee member of the Train the Trainers Project, which equips Arabic-speaking helping professionals to conduct culturally-appropriate domestic violence awareness and prevention workshops for the Arabic-speaking community in Peel Region.
